Are You Doing These 3 Things To Impact Your Bottom Line? – Self Doubt In Business
Self Doubt in Business
I’ve been around business all of my life. I have been a victim of self doubt in business and I’ve seen what it can do to others. Sometimes just saying “Own It” or “Y.O.L.O.” isn’t enough to get you over the hump and make the leap of faith in business. There are plenty of ways to get over the fact that there are other people in this world that will try to bring down. Then there is plenty of opportunity for self doubt in business to create a negative feeling for you and your company.
To help you get over self doubt in your business there are three ways I use.
Get a Plan
Creating a plan of action is always important in business. It gives you a road map on how you are going to accomplish your goals. In the case of self doubt, you need that plan to build self confidence. The more comfortable you are in what you are looking to accomplish the more likely you are crush self doubt.
Get Validation
Asking others for opinions of plans is a solid way to make sure you aren’t the only person in the world that feels a certain way. Have an idea on how and what you want to accomplish, then go make a plan around it, and then get some validation. Doing this will enable you to feel even more confident in your idea and your plan of action.
Fake It
Sometimes… People have no idea what it is that they want. They are looking for someone like you to provide a path. In order for you to create that path you need to be confident. No matter if self doubt is creeping into your personal space. Stop the self doubt in business by faking your confidence. You need to be excited about your business, always. Excitement and positive thinking is the quickest way to squashing self doubt in business.
Love what you do and do what you love.
Your Journey
Take breaks whenever possible. Burn out will lead to self doubt in business. Taking on too much at once will lead to questioning if you are on the right path in your journey. It is your vision and you need to own it. See your business through completion. Allowing yourself to feel the responsibility of the change you can bring onto the world with your business will allow you to shed the self doubt.
Once in a While..
You do need to just go lay on the couch and cry it out. It can remind you that you are human. You are not perfect. You are not a robot. And while you are on this amazing journey of business ownership, there is no perfected road map. There is no one perfect answer. There is no magic that make everything work the way you expect it to.
