They have their own restaurant which was their original business, called ….Rebel cheese! During covid, they added online sales. The restaurant also has a full menu and remains very popular. I go there on the regular! My take home lasts as long in my fridge as I need it too.

I’m surprised Emma didn’t get the product…it’s pretty hard to mimic the taste and the texture of Brie out of anything but milk
rebel cheese is HANDS down the best vegan cheese I’ve ever had. I think I’m their number 1 fan. I hope this means that they sell at stores around the country – I’m from Ann Arbor, Michigan and hoping to get more from them! I’ve tried their cheese box for months!!!

Mr Wonderful called it like it was on that one. Mark and Lori for 10% is a serious deal. Usually the sharks get greedy when they work together. They got Mark as a free vegan spokesperson and Lori will connect them with the charcuterie boards company. Score!

@@SuperJoePardo you missed that they had their own restaurant they were selling their cheese from and they even had a story about pivoting during covid. You thought they were selling TO restaurants and missed their story. You already pause to give your thoughts, just pause more then when they give facts and figures so you don’t miss info. Doing this in real time isn’t really relevant when you can pause it.
So, I didn’t miss that they had a restaurant. They didn’t go into detail about the restaurant as they are there to blow up the brand via ecommerce and retail. I do think that in the moment I was understanding it more about selling it to other restaurants, not necessarily just their own.
Doing it in real-time enables me to give my authentic, in the moment look at the pitch and business. Something that many of the entrepreneurs that have come on my show from Shark Tank have told me they love. It also enables me to show my genuine knowledge and understanding without pausing and editing and doing research to make myself appear smarter than I am as this is all off the top of my head.

@@SuperJoePardo 6:18 you’re clearly thinking they’re selling to other restaurants. I mean you yourself said “maybe I’m misunderstanding” and you were. They also mentioned pivoting to ecommerce which you didn’t catch or glossed over. Also, if you have a physical restaurant it makes sense most of the money is coming from that. If it wasn’t making money they wouldn’t have it.
You keep mentioning editing when I’ve never brought it up. I simply said to pause more so you don’t miss the info being dished out as you’re writing since you’re clearly missing info at that moment. I also never said to put up a facade to make yourself look smarter. I’m not sure why you’re fixated on that. You pause anyway so a few more pauses isn’t gonna hurt, if anything they’ll help more so you actually get accurate info down.
If your aim is to hear the whole pitch without pausing as if you were sitting with the investors that’s fine I suppose but then you’re pausing right after the pitch which the investors don’t get to do either so it’s a little inconsistent there. If you want to do the no-pause only for the pitch then I guess we’ll just have to accept you won’t get all the info down accurately.
First off, I appreciate you Vendrix. I apologize for assuming, because most criticism I do receive on this channel refers to pausing at all, not hoping for me to pause more. Or that I’m editing the show or watching the show ahead of time to sound smarter than I am. I’m sorry I self-reflected that onto you. And I appreciate you pointing that out to me.
I try to find the best break points as I go to pause where I have something to say. Also, because the youtube copyright system won’t allow me to run the whole video without me having to edit it down a bit.
One thing I’ve been commended for by the entrepreneurs who go on the show is that they enjoy getting to see my reaction in Realtime. If I misunderstood something maybe others did too. I did that recently where I thought the entrepreneur’s parents were both deceased because of the editing on Shark Tank and how they were talked about, but both are very much alive.
The thing about Shark Tank that not everyone understands is that the entrepreneur is in the tank for 45-90 minutes talking with the Sharks and then that is edited down to 8-10 minutes. I’ve been told by entrepreneurs who go on the show that sometimes they Sharks ask really basic, general knowledge questions that the entrepreneur can’t believe they are asking. But part of that might be for the Shark themself or for TV, but in the two examples I’ve been given those questions were left on the cutting room floor. Which also allows the Sharks to sound smarter than they may actually be, and another reason I shoot my show in real-time, for the challenge.
I don’t generally like to go backwards unless there is something I want to point out. Interrupts the flow of the video, but I could do some light editing if I have to skip around the video a little bit. But all that adds time to the video and the process. I do my best to get these newest episodes up online the same night they air. (Admittedly, I will be missing the next couple weeks due to traveling.)
Anyway, I really appreciate you Vendrix. Thank you for taking your time. I hope you will decide to stick around and be a part of the Super Community.

She was “hating” on it for a specific reason. I’m vegan and I agree with her. Texture is the hardest thing to pull off with vegan cheese. Nobody, including Rebel, has figured it out yet. If texture is a deal breaker for a person, then they probably won’t like Rebel Cheese.
Kevin’s final comment is so correct. Take the deal with Mark and Lori, no need to haggle. They took the deal, great! ; )
