That’s good seeing a black man coming in to help a young black man become successful
Help? He devalued this kid’s business down to $1.5M when he’s already on pace for $2.2M in sales, $300K profit and took 20% of the pie. He won’t have to lift a finger and he’ll be making money. It’s greed, he’s not a Samaritan.
Lol only reason was cause Mark offered and Daymond couldn’t let that happen lol
@Mike Hus totally hear you that adding a shark to a business could *potentially* grow the business exponentially. But my point was different, that if the kids business will be worth $30MM tomorrow, it’s still worth $3MM today, so pay him what it’s worth, don’t rip off a 15 year old kid and pay him less than what he’s worth just because you’re worth more. At a particular point, ethical business dealings should come in play, not just pure profit-mindset. Hope that makes sense

Wow joe, working overtime with 4 uploads. Nice.
Got to get the newest episode broken down for the Super Entrepreneurs out here! Every Friday there is a new Shark Tank, I’ll be here. 🙂 I appreciate you watching and commenting, as always!!
I appreciate YOU watching and commenting Jon!
I also appreciate the reference to Marcus. He’s definitely someone I admire. 🙂
@Super Joe Pardo I look at it a bit differently (probably naively too),
1. 5% of a 2mil business way smaller than 5% of a 20mil business.
2. The kid would have spent atleast a few 100ks on B-school tution fee, im sure Mark can teach em way more than any B-school.

Mark has a thing for people who go door to door and sell thier stuff..
Yup! He sold trash bags door to door. 🙂 I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I liked that Mark waited until the end and then checked first with Daymond to see if Daymond was going to give an offer. Otherwise Mark was ready to jump on it.
You said it has to be high quality because of the price, not always how it works. Daymond himself had a Fat Albert Fubu Line, the shirts were $65+ and were super thin and cheap. This brand looks quality from the pictures on the website. But a lot of Daymond’s Fubu stuff super expensive and decent quality at best. A lot of the Fat Albert line was pretty nice quality, but man it was expensive.
I always laughed at the irony of Fubu’s Fat Albert line. I mean $100 shirts based on a cartoon about poor kids from the ghetto. Nobody on the show could even come close to affording a single shirt. lol.
Damn I remember my mom bought be a red fat Albert FUBU shirt. You are definitely right but from working in fashion now and looking back the quality was lackluster. Especially the button up rayon shirts that were the most expensive.
I’ve bought from him….I love the clothes. I’m really into fashion and I love the brand….the quality is amazing
@J.R. Williams I never bought any Fubu clothes before, but I will day if the Fat Albert stuff was officially licensed it likely added a significant amount to the cost of the clothing.
The irony is not lost of me Fat Albert clothing. I appreciate you watching and commenting J.R. !
@Kee La and @DeNastio I appreciate you both watching and commenting!! And glad you are enjoying his clothes DeNastio!
@Super Joe Pardo totally forgot about the license aspect..makes more sense now why it would cost that much

Probably, sorry to disappoint.
Why you saw the whole pitch
SuperJoe, Friday’s episode was awesome, even the Beulr guy. Thank you for posting these so quickly, in its entirety with good commentary.
Daymond almost always makes a bid with more equity but in most instances he provides purchase order funding and he has very strong manufacturing and distribution abilities. He’s not a braggart about what he can offer, unlike Lori or Mister Wonderful.
Good job spergo. Even if no one jumps on u just promoted ur brand nationally.
They did a wonderful job! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I think Mark would have to take someone’s help or share stocks out side since it isn’t his expertise, I think. Maybe so. But again this is a guess.

@Bani you are likely right, which is why he offered Daymond to come in.
@Darshan his business is on a great trajectory but isn’t doing 20 million a year today. It’s a fair point about spending money on school, but I am of the mindset that he should stay in school and operate the business. As someone who has dropped out of college (twice), life feels like it would’ve been easier if I had stayed in, if only to have the paper and the sense of accomplishment. Mark certainly could’ve taught him a lot, but it’s not like he would’ve spent everyday with Mark.
Him also being a black business owner based in Philadelphia in this time and age is golden for him. That being said I’m don’t want to take any credit away from what he’s doing and done. Kid is killing it and
His drive is what has taken him further than the time in which he lives. Plenty of small businesses fail every single year. Most people never find what they are really passionate about in life. He’s very lucky that he was able to recognize what he was passionate about at a young age and run with it!
I also don’t want to understate the importance of having people around you that believe in you and buy in. Even the most positive people can be beaten down if surrounded by the wrong people/attitude. Huge props to his mom and family for holding him up to enable him to be Super as well!
@Super Joe Pardo well his drive and the amount of people willing to pay $100 plus for a shirt. I haven’t spent more then $30 for a t shirt in probably 15 years. That’s something to this day I can’t get behind in my morals to ever be a business man. How am I going to make this shirt for $20 and then sell for over $100. I just couldn’t do that. Did he ever mention where the shirts are made?

Did he ever mention where the shirts are made?
So… I’m pretty much in the same boat when it comes to my clothes. I don’t spend a lot on them. But obviously you and I are not the target avatar for this brand.
As far as his cost being 20$ and selling for 100$. You do have to take other factors into consideration. Salaries, shrink (missing items), defects that come through, returns, celebrity endorsements, marketing, website, photographer, graphic designer, store front rent, fabric/development costs for next season, insurance, etc etc (I’m sure there’s some Obvious one I’ve missed in this list). So, when the cost of the item is higher ($20 is high on a mass made product) it has to reflect that in the price. I can tell you as a person who has done my own tshirts for many years, the little costs add up quickly. But I do like having my shirts be higher quality, and yet affordable.
Maybe I should I do a little edition Super Entrepreneur t-shirt for 100$ now that I’m sitting here thinking about it.
No I don’t believe it came up where they were being made.

He got lucky that phone call to diddy .. if not I don’t think he would have got so far all because of who you know it’s all politics smfh
He put himself into the position to be able to get that phone call and use his one shot to impress him enough to make something happen.
My opinion YOU GOT LUCKY BRO K NO OT EVERYONE GET THAT OPPORTUNITY
Not everyone will have that opportunity, because not everyone is willing to go door to door selling what they believe in and making others believe as well.
Wow kid got lucky smfh we not all that lucky
It’s called a grind, hard work, drive. Not luck.

Agree not surprised. Kids these days don’t have to worry about reading books and taking years to get started.
Why is this more special or different than when other kids do it? There have been a litany of impressive kids on this show over the years. I wonder if it’s getting special attention because of race? Are we not supposed to do anything outstanding outside of sports and music? Just asking.
I don’t think it has much to do with race. I think it’s more to do with gender and age. Being a young boy and being into fashion is not perceived as a common thing. At least in my mind, when you think of birthdays and Christmas gifts “awww man I got clothes…”, lol that’s how I was growing up. Combine a young boy with fashion and the desire to create it and hustle it door to door. You got something rare for sure. Just my thoughts/biases/personal experience.

A few thoughts.
1. I don’t see anything really unique about the apparel.
2. It’s at a premium price I am assuming it’s high quality fabric and stitch.
3. I would have liked to have heard what the product is made from that and if there’s allergy free or anything special.
4. I never have a problem with the price as long as I know it’s a premium product I don’t mind paying extra if I know what I’m getting.
5. It’s actually quite inspiring to see a kid that young and into business and is killing it.
6. I hate seeing comments about as a black man this or that. Here’s the bottom line either you have a good product or you don’t either you can sell your product or you don’t a business doesn’t care whether your man woman black white whatever if you don’t know how to sell you’re screwed. For that matter it wasn’t about a black man Daymond John supporting a black kid. I saw it as an investor who specializes in clothing whose company is worth billions supporting a young entrepreneur who’s doing very well. I truly despise people who make it about race. Me I’m happy as hell for this kid, fact is I have to respect the hell out of him bc I was his age I was just a young apprentice in construction who was balancing that with sports and was really into Pokemon. So that kid is miles ahead of where I was. Truth being said, that kids company could be worth estimated in my head 15 Millon in 4 years and he would never have to work again.
This young man is a superstar. Well done!
Yeah he is!
