I think the conflict is kind of like what she had with Scrub Daddy and Scrubbie. It was far too similar of an investment. In this case, it’s another headwear with lights. So I think that’s the point she was trying to get to.

I did some 5 minute detective work and found that there’s literally nothing unique about her product. Matter of fact, he “led in a beanie” is used by plenty of other companies on Amazon who most likely get their product over in China.

I don’t think Super Joe thinks he’s Jeff or Elon, it’s just a name to set him apart from all the other Joe Pardo’s that are probably out there. I saw his video about him and his family business wich I found interesting. It gave me a better feeling about his love for entrepreneurship.
But Joe, do you think this was a good deal? Patent or not, I think NOT, royalty up to 600k PLUS 20% of her business. The appearance on Shark Tank will give her a boost anyway thats not the merit of the dragons. She has a nice business.
I wrangled with this Otto and still am. I’m not really convinced she invented the product. Getting to work with a (2) Shark is better than not. She has a nice business but if she really doesn’t get a patent and is only selling them, she can go and find the next thing to hustle. She is a great sales person and marketer regardless of if she created t he product or not.

Wow, Super Joe. Great observations from you on this one. I think Roquel got thrown off by the “crazy chicken ” comment and lost some of her footing. She seems to be an exuberant hard working entrepreneur who’s at the point of needing a Shark at this point in her company. The sneakers lights referred to here were called “Night Runners 270”, and “The Night Shift “. After quite a lot of negotiating the married entrepreneurs made a deal with Robert Herjavic (and at least one other Shark I believe), but the couple themselves took the deal off the table afterwards and decided just to coast off the publicity their product got. Yes, the Sharks were pretty rough with Roquel. It seems like a lot of this clip was edited.
This has been on wish for years n it even plays music. That’s why she can’t get a patent.

You know… I was gonna say something like that. And back when I had guest Biz coaches like Larry, I’m sure it would’ve came up. I just didn’t feel the need to point out the obvious. It sounded like Head Lice when the sharks said it too.
A lot of Women get misdiagnosed or not belived by doctors. They often have to go to different doctors and advocate for themselves constantly. I feel like that played a role here when he called her “crazy chicken”.

I gotta be honest this is a business show, Kevin calls people terrible things all the time. Crazy chicken as a compliment isn’t bad. He’s called people cockroaches that would get crushed etc. if she actually didn’t like it she shouldn’t have taken the deal. Getting emotional because of it is silly, business is war.
