Traveling from Japan to the United States to become an exchange student, she was
scared to meet new people due to the language barrier. The experience helped her
dive deeper into her interests of traveling and getting to know more cultures
from all around the world.

I got to spend a school year with Ayaka, becoming and remaining a friend of
Ayaka’s has been a great experience! Getting to learn about other cultures has
always been a huge draw for me, more so than getting to travel to see sights.
