Kevin should have modified his offer. He took it so personal and cuban shouldnt try to dissuade and goat another shark to take away an offer.

Lab diamonds are diamonds. They just take carbon ash and create it that’s why the diamonds are less expensive. They don’t have to compete with artificial pricing of real diamonds.

9:09 Barbara amazes me on how she became wealthy because she says the most retarded, irrelevant stuff. What does her skiis or VW Bug or the fact that she never had a ring have to do with making money on a proven business model that gives back with amazing returns. He obviously does not need your money. He wants the marketing that comes along with a shark as well as consulting if he made millions from an 18k initial investment without any additional investment from anyone at anytime.

I did not understand their reasoning in rejecting this guy – all he waanted was 600K for 6% of his company.
This guy started with 18K and without any further investment made 11.4M in sales in his 8th year. As if this was not enough it comes with a side of “helping the poor and the downtrodden and doing something really great to change their lives”

I don’t see why anybody would not just lap up this deal

This is genius! Lab created diamonds have a bad wrap amoungst serious diamond collectors.. but to the public they dont mind. Plus he adds the “Ethically sourced” marketing tag on, which almost raises its value amongst the average consumer. Its genius

That was a lot of fun. I do feel like these Sharks sometimes get in their own heads. This is one of those things that we’ll never feel since they’ve been so successful that their level is just that high. Not to mention all of these offers inflate their egos.

It’s why I have such respect for folks like Mark(in most cases) and Luri when it comes to how they treat folks.

Having Daniel as a partner is awesome as he can has someone with the same mindset towards philanthropy. However, I think for his business, Kevin would have been just as great as he would have definitely been able to tap into Kevin’s resources in the wedding and other social networks helping increase revenue more than he had before and he could have focused on the philanthropic side of things a little more while his team focuses on revenue building .

I just realize something. I took $15,000 out of my 401(k) so I could give myself monthly paychecks for a couple years and go part time at work. Doing it this simply, I’m just realizing that’s investment into my company that’s not on the records probably. for tax purposes, what’s a good way to make this show up as a business expense? Because right now it’s in my savings account and I just get monthly direct deposits to help supplement my income so I can continue living the way I’m living while having the amount of time on my hands to record and edit that I do. But when tax time comes, I feel like that means I shouldn’t be paying anything because that’s essentially an expense maybe? I’m investing it in my YouTube channel by buying time for myself.

so blood curdling when entrepreneurs all talk about ‘changing the world’ – what nonsense. none of this is essential and the diamond industry is replete with deception.

turning diamonds into water. Taking from the rich to redistribute to the poor. Can’t think of a better industry to do that. I don’t happen to believe in blood diamond engagement rings, I refuse to wear diamonds. We take enough risk with people’s lives to access technology. I don’t need some poor child dying to adorn my hand or ears with glitter.

When Laurie says “it’s not really that bad”, that statement should make an entrepreneur cringe. Very different from “thats a Fair deal” or “that’s a good deal”
At the risk of sounding racist or whatever- (I have a multiracial family)
I think this guy could do well with Daniel within the Hispanic community and beyond.

Something like this would be ideal for the Latino community, sounds like it offers different price points.

I picture Kevin’s customers more apt to show up at the jewelry store and have that “experience” for a real diamond.

Brides/Women would probably be using this more than males-because men go to Jewelers to get help with engagement rings.

I actually see this being more at the economic level and market for Daniel
