Wow very surprised she didn’t get a deal, honestly. Those were some crazy sales in just 13 months! Something just dawned on me. Shark Tank is getting up there in show years. Maybe the sharks are just getting tired? I keep hearing them saying stuff like “I’ve already gone down that road and don’t feel like doing it again” or “This is going to be too hard of a road and I don’t want to join you”. Maybe we need to phase out of the main sharks we know and love 🙁
I always wonder the same and I know they sometimes sell companies and have exit strategies they invest in but I mean how many companies could they physically have time for. So I wonder if they just have a lot on their plates.
That is a valid point, and a question I will ask when I get to interview some of the sharks.
As for how much they have time for. They have teams of people that handle majority of the meetings for them at this point. Though I do know Mark answers his emails and usually right away.
I will say a lot of the comments including “is this for rubin esque women” and stuff about inventory was very dated. Things have changed a lot in the fashion industry in the past few years
@5:26 I think she meant that she had a customer who posted about it and that got 4 million views. I think she said she did not spend a dollar on that so free marketing.

Good comments about how to sell a brand online. She will succeed without a deal, just slower than she’s wanting. Also she has not encountered any major sales, or marketing challenging roadblocks yet. Damon just explained the standard challenges in the apparel industry. Given her numbers, niche market and interaction the product is getting it seemed like a good investment for him. With those margins you can even work out a royalty deal.
I’ve been in the industry a long time which is why I only have 3 styles. I’ve dealt with all this shit. DTC and limited skus is the way to avoid

It’s not about insecurities. It’s about a swimsuit having any sort of structure! I am 32 G and most swimsuits are a nightmare. I got this suit and had people coming up to me with compliments constantly. This thing is amazing
