I hear you perfectly now. Listen from Delaware.
Thank you so much for posting that! I will have to re-record that video. 🙁
What up neighbor!? 🙂 I appreciate you watching and commenting Lee!
As someone who just struggled putting lights around my house, I’m interested in this idea
I think next year I’ll be doing more with outdoor lights. 🙂
Now here in Florida alot of restaurants/hotel’s have lights. during the turtle nesting and I think it’s the law your legally have to take Them down even if they’re turned off. On the price point alot of the time time costs more than the lights if you can take the lights down 2x-3x times faster the price point makes sense.
I feel like I’ve heard that before about the turtle nesting. Is there everywhere in Florida or just in certain parts? I think the price is justifiable for the time it can save.
@Super Joe Pardo I think either 100 yards or meters tho it could be half a mile away from the beach. Turtles nest pretty much everywhere on the beach and the fines and bad press from dead baby turtles might make it worth it. There’s 3 beaches that I go to all far each other and all have nests sometimes clustered sometimes good distance from each other.

Don’t work w/ aluminum + $50 more than traditional lights.. forget about it..
Thank you Prevlin!! You’re so welcome! I appreciate you being part of the Super Community!!
It will be interesting to see where this goes! I would think that these lights would also tangle. Maybe that wasn’t important to this pitch.
This is not a product for consumers, it’s for businesses and professionals.
I like you answered about magnics working on aluminum. It doesn’t but still like to invite. That is great Super Joe
Watching these videos make the show waaaaay more interesting. Thanks Joe you have even helped me in college work !
Let’s goooooo!!!! I appreciate you watching and commenting Alejandro!
Wow. That was a bummer. At least Sean walked out satisfied that he would continue his efforts on his own. Super Joe, do you recall another episode a few years later when a man came in with a fairly similar idea, except the Christmas lights were on a strip and hidden under the eaves. They stayed attached to the house all year and you used a pole to pull them down. I don’t think the guy got a deal though. I do remember that Barbara was on the panel because she told the story of how her mother did something like that to their outdoor Christmas lights except it was easier. Thank you, Super Joe for the video and comments on this one. I believe I’ve only seen it once. before.
Serious inquiry, I never installed Christmas lights nor do I have typical experience with home structures… but wouldn’t a suction cup like item be cheaper? Also it’ll be more flexible to install and can attach to more materials, similar to the phone stands you have in cars?
That is a great question! A suction cup is only as good as the smoothness of the surface it is sticking to. Also, there was another pitch (I forget which one) that talked about the trickiness of getting the suction cup just right or else it doesn’t work properly. It would make it very hard to get smooth enough surfaces to great enough suction to hold up.
I appreciate you watching and commenting Feross!
Joe have you thought about reviewing some of shark tanks products to get more followers? Especially with shark tank contestants you interview… You can then review the product and then in same video do their interview but give your pointers to them on both their pitch and the product. We learn and get a great review of products from someone we trust PLUS we learn the flaws and the ways those flaws could possibly be corrected for ppl with similar issues.
Hey Liezel! I have reviewed 4 Shark Tank products so far. I have a playlist on my homepage: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqvIutEsQqv7M-NMLRCfY1wkSZETtw4R2
I have several Shark Tank products, I just haven’t done reviews on them. I like to do B-Roll and edit them together generally but haven’t had the time in the last few months to do that. I’m considering just doing talking head reviews without the b-roll and flair.
I will knock some out in the coming month. I appreciate the nudge! 🙂
The first red flag for me was when his first sales pitch was how traditional lights get tangled up, then he added the glues, the clips etc. When he showed his product, it’s still has long strands of wires which means it will still get tangled up. The next issue is what Lori brought up. How many households would actually have metal in places where you’d usually hang your lights? For us, for example, it’s on window frames, the arch by the front door, or draping under the porch. None of which have metals on it. It’s a very limited target market, and it’s an expensive option at that.
Needs to partner with steel roof applications. Product had to be beyond Christmas season possibilities.
So I’ve been using these lights professionally for 4 years. Last season we did over 200 installs using this product. They are very expensive but save a tremendous amount of time and labor. To answer the Youtubers question you must have a metal flashing underneath your roofline which basically is the entire south west part of the United States including all of Las Vegas, Arizona, etc. These lights won’t work unless there’s a metal flashing. That is a typical on any home with Clay or ceramics roof tiles.
That is great to hear! And thanks for the insight in that. I appreciate you watching and commenting Vegas!
Also should have added saftey. Because they attach so easy and quickly it helps limit the technicians time on roof and ladders. In some applications you can even attach them from the ground using extension poles. Great product overall just wish it wasn’t so costly.
