Latterly is a digital magazine of narrative journalism founded in November 2014. The essayist Alain de Botton wrote that “foreign news should offer us a means by which to humanize the Other.” Latterly exists for this cause, drawing from the reportage of talented writers and photographers from around the world to deliver monthly issues worthy of subscriber support ($3/month).

Born 1988 in Akron, Ohio. Graduated from Waterloo High School in Atwater, Ohio, 2007. Attended the University of Leicester, UK, in 2010. Edited the Daily Kent Stater in 2010. Graduated from Kent State University, Ohio, in 2011. Reporting intern for The (Morgantown, West Virginia) Dominion Post; The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch; and The Boston Globe. Staff writer for the Naples (Florida) Daily News and the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Moved to New York City in 2013 to become a freelance writer full time. Work has appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, the Tampa Bay Times, The Christian Science Monitor, etc. Published short story in the anthology Best New Writing. Moved to Southeast Asia in 2014. Sub-editor for the Bangkok Post in 2014. Founded Latterly magazine in November 2014. Moved to the Dominican Republic in March 2015. Has lived in the Dominican Republic, England, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam. Would like to live in the others.
