I appreciate you watching and commenting Tillie. This is a business education channel.

I find it very useful.

I am an engineer by profession and plastics recycling is a scam to begin with. Unlike metals which you can heat up and remove all the impurities, the same cannot be said of plastics. Why? Plastics contain complex chains of molecules that cannot be broken down. Hence, that’s the reason why all of the plastics that has ever been recycled less than 10% of it have actually been re-used. Happy New Year Joe.
Mark needs to shutup sometimes
I agree although he is a millionaire he can be wrong

Surprised Mark went out given his focus on affordable drugs
Especially surprising because he’s focused on health. People get medicine to improve their health while at the same time, the plastic bottle wrecks their health by reducing clean air and adding microplastics to our food and water.
So do they fill prescriptions or it’s just like what you would find at your local pharmacy? Also if I’m in need of a Tylenol due to a headache for example I would just buy it from the pharmacy if I didn’t have any on hand, no?
So well analysed Joe Pardo.
Thank you, I’m glad to hear it. I feel like I missed something in the beginning connecting the bottles to being made out of recycled plastic and not compostable, only the bags. I appreciate you Shrijita! Hope you are having a great 2023 so far!
Joe I am so surprised that Mark didn’t step out because of his Costplusdrugs. And why was that fact not a factor in your analysis? Wouldn’t mark want this technology to do this ? Just curious
That was the first thing that came to mind too. Thanks for pointing it out
that was 100% the reason he stepped out, he just didn’t say it, tried to rip a competitor on national TV instead.
Smell a medicine bottle after pills have been sitting in it, it doesn’t take long for the smell of the pills to leech into the plastic of the container.
I’d want to see some long-term studies
-the molecular structure of the medication changes with time light temperature.
Manufacturers need to pay attention, make sure the warranty on their medications is valid under new packaging. Some medications have to be stored in bubble wrapped packages because the pills have to physically be kept separate. So medication storage is a far more complicated than meets the eye.
I was a director of a halfway house, we know that molecular structures of medications are easily altered-particularly psychotropics
That’s why Cabinet’s containers go through FDA approval. We interviewed the co-founder, Russ, yesterday and he explained it to us.
@Zero Plastic Pledge oh! FDA approval! Yeah, they approved Teflon pans for decades.
Ok then. Good luck!
Thx.

If they are investing 2.5M on product compliance, what else are they spending on to still be negative at over 20M projected revenue? Shark Tank needs to make available the full pitches for those of us that want to see more.
The work they are doing is important…I’d like to know why Mark says ‘it doesn’t add up’
chemicals**** in the pills. is the quote/statement you want.
i do keep reuse my takeout dinner, um plastic boxes.
yes 2 things i worry about how COLD and how HOT can they safely be used and, How much like will it last if you take it in and out of refrigerators so forth for pills that need to be refrigerated like im worried if the moister will affect it. Iron pills need to be refrigerated. just 1 example

2. the unuseable plastic water bottle dozens of people got sick in 2012-2013’s for drinking bottles that were used for GAS they ran out of gas cans so people were using them then reciyied them and they got reused without being clean.
Wow! Surprised that they got a deal! I have noticed that if you’re flexible (aka “creative”), the sharks are willing to invest in these big deals.
Emm, maybe I didn’t catch the thing but, don’t you have to buy your medicine at pharmacy in a plastic bottle and then fill your “cabinet” container ? How does that reduce the amount of plastic waste produced by drugs companies? …
Or maybe in US you can bring your own package to get your prescripted drugs in, but in EU that’s not the case. In their place I’d rather try to sell it directly to drugs labs than to customers. Correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks for video Joe !
They are selling just otc drugs, not the ones you need a prescription for. At least for now
As a PharmD, Mark doesn’t understand the FDA regulations and process. Theres a two different process and approval for prescriptions and OTC medications. There’s much that goes into approval, processing for any medication. This is a great innovation but it comes back that people lack knowledge who aren’t in the health field.
Welcome to the Super Community! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment Strange Magick3! And happy Sunday!!
Congrats cabinet health….. I’m already invested in Cabinet.. happy to see 2 sharks in the game.
That is great to hear! I appreciate you watching and commenting R P!
I’ve purchased from Cabinet and was happy to see them on Shark Tank. Thanks for doing your analysis!
The starter kits that come with the bottles are pretty nice. Quick note – You missed the FAQ question where it does state side effects of diphenhydramine (i.e. benadryl). You scrolled right past it in that video clip, which I guess just furthers your point that side effects should probably be a little more visible.
I like that I can stack the glass bottles and have an idea of what’s in them based on both the cap color and the ability to see through the frosted glass. The magnetic label is a fantastic idea and works well. Finally, the packaging the refills come in is great because it breaks down. I know I won’t see it popping up in an anti-plastic documentary anywhere.
The two major drawbacks for me, which I hope to see go away in the future:
– They can’t accept FSA/HSA as payment. There’s a work-around for this if you buy their products through Amazon, which does accept FSA/HSA cards.
– They can’t fill prescriptions themselves. They work in partnership with HealthHaven. This means they also can’t work with insurance, and it’s a cash-only pharmacy.
I’m really hoping that with the visibility of the Shark Tank episode and the buy-in from the Sharks that this will revolutionize more than just over the counter medications. I’d love to be able to get a magnetic label with a QR code on the back for information instead of a huge bottle with a 10-pager stapled to the pharmacy bag. I know that there are a TON of regulations that this effort would get mired in (and this of course wouldn’t work for every single medication, especially not anything a compounding pharmacy would put out), but it’s a nice thought.
Reminds me of my college project where I developed a business to recycle medicine bottles into plastic cabinets.
I love that!! I appreciate you watching and commenting Aaron!
Thank you for sharing! Was already an avid customer of theirs, and definitely wanted to see how they did because I would love to see it become a bigger effort others can get behind. Even if other companies jump on to dupe their products that’s a win for everyone
You are so welcome! I appreciate you watching and commenting Bre Mue! Glad to hear that you were already enjoying their products. 🙂
Right me too I love their products
Why was Mark so rude? And stop rushing them Mark -_-
Also Joe this world will end one day and God will make it anew so even if there are landfills high it wont matter…
I Admire Mark and his Achievements.
But he needs to calm down and ask about things he doesnt understand.
Please do a video on the UK Dragons’ Den.

Barbara: I can’t store my coke in your new packaging. I’m out
costco has most of the things that they are selling for way way way cheaper!
and just checked – walmart has things way cheaper too.
e.g. acetaminophen – they have 30 tablets refill for $8
walmart has 50 tablets for 2.18
costco online has 400 tablets for 17.99
People are buying it for the packaging
@@sarah607chang400 for 17.19 v/s 30 for 8. that is where no one cares about the packaging.

Plastic is made from fossil fuels. So to make the plastic in the first place leads to pollution. Anyway, we interviewed Russ yesterday and he showed us how he has compostable packs too that break down into dirt!
Is door dash that big deal in USA that the CEO is invited as guest shark
Yeah definitely a big deal that blew up even bigger with the pandemic. I appreciate you watching and commenting Bhargavi.

Stay in your line. These sharks are ten times more succesfull than you. Only make remarks face to face or when you have the same achievements as them.
Joe Pardo is way too old to repeatedly misuse the word “like.”
