I think Lori was 100% correct in saying that they need to put the no germs on the packaging.
I think it’s too expensive, and it’s not something that they would make millions from. It’s something you only buy once, and use once a year.
If they could design a product that is disposable and cheap, but filtered the air, I think it would sell better – an impulse buy at 2.99. You put something like a N95 filter on it, with a shield over the lips to stop people from spitting.
You could be onto something there!
What if you use a Mini fan to blow out the candles ?
That doesn’t seem like as much fun. But now that you mention it, it made me think of using a noise maker horn on this device.

To me this is a winner product. It serves a dual purpose, because it not only prevents slobber from spreading all over the cake but it’s fit for a birthday occasion because it’s fun to do. With great marketing, it will absolutely catch on. They’re dumb for not getting it.
I could picture this being sorta popular for like, a few months, but when the pandemic wanes, people will go back to blowing out candles the old-school way, and all these Blowzees will end up in landfill. The fact that you can’t wash it (battery operated) defeats the purpose of it being germ free.
Honestly, I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t just use sparkler candles. Not just because of COVID, I mean, they look so much more festive! And you can make a wish while watching a mini firework display on your cake ^^

How about a mask that covers your entire face/mouth. Then blowing through a built in blowee something that will prevent any spit from flying out from any direction

The real bad acting is adorable and entertaining. Its a good idea in regards to the bacteria issue…but is this an item that people would buy as necessity..
The number of products like this on Amazon is crazy. There is the birthday candle board, where candles are placed on a board rather than on a cake with enough slots to celebrate any senior’s birthday. “Candle Buddy” and “Make a Safe Wish! Candle Holders” stick to the outside plastic cover of a birthday cake bought from the store so the blower doesn’t blow directly on the cake but can still see it. There are handheld blowers. “Birthday Candle Air Cannon” and “Candler Ozkin” are battery-operated gun types, while the “Birthday Blowout Fan” is more of a fan. “Candle Magic” is a can of air that poofs out the candles. I’m blown away! I’ll also add that all of them have some sort of picture of someone spewing on the cake while blowing out candles.
No need for this product in a scientific point of view. And I think the founders know it. But I think that they believe in the market because people got more focused on germs and you can exploit that
