She may have gotten interest had she shown the sharks something special that potentially sets her apart from other “gurus” in this subscription based space….
There is not enough meat on the bone at her price point to get these sharks interested …..

Well, after a little over a year now we can see Mr. Wonderful’s investment in anger management sessions has failed. I felt as soon as she mentioned the $2 million valuation Liv’s chances of getting a deal were slim. But what a positive, persuasive entrepreneur! She is just there too early for an outside investor based on her low revenues. Your comments were so right on and insightful and you really called it. Thank you, Super Joe.

I like how you broke down about selling an idea before a course. I think that’s huge when you’re trying to sell an idea that works. You’re selling us on an idea that’s a maybe and/or something that doesn’t have a proven working model. That’s some great insight

She was coming across too desperate at the end, saying she would take any deal. In some ways, it goes back to what Mark or Robert, were saying in that it costs as much to acquire $1,000 as a $10,000 customer – don’t sell yourself short.
I agree with the sharks, in that she needs more experience, more failures to be successful.
Is it just me or did she conceal successfully the fact that what she has on mind is some kind of a pyramid scheme?

She says she sticked to her guns? She was begging for a deal at the end. She was completely desperate so I don’t think she was sticking to anything, she just didn’t have any offers and I think Kevin was harsh but I don’t know if he is not right
I also go by Liv and I gotta say, it’s an odd name to hear out of Kevin’s mouth. He’s like an older uncle or professor or something who should only ever call me Olivia

Here’s my thing, I can appreciate optimism I can appreciate and upbeat attitude. I do agree with the premise itself, especially because many professional athletes do something similar. Like for instance I’m a huge boxing fan, one of my favorite boxers 2 time Gold medalist and 3 weight division champion vasili lomachenko has a full-time sports psychologist. But here’s my issue evaluation and I would never ever project myself out that extreme that early on. I’m especially surprised at the lifetime sales giving the amount of exposure. The way I view any small business is that you have 3 years as I Make it or break it. With that being said I would have significantly lowered the value, humbled myself and said I want a shark let’s grow this together 50 50 deal. Bc truth is she doesn’t have the sales, honestly given the sales I don’t know how she pays her staff let alone herself. I think she made a mistake by over evaluating she made another mistake by trying to scale this thing up too quickly I just would have taken baby steps. Perhaps have started with one or two things of content and built it up over time to include a number of different courses. If she’s not making any money in 3 years then I agree with Kevin. Personally, I knock anybody if it doesn’t take off. At least you went out there took a risk. To be frank with you I actually wholeheartedly didn’t like what Lori said I thought it was very rude because Kevin actually is a very nice guy and he’s helped countless entrepreneurs it’s very disrespectful. I think he has every right to State how he feels whether or not he feels it would be successful or not and he is right to a to a point. The only thing I disagree with Kevin on is you know it’s a little early to go killing the idea. An example Space X was broke 1 launch away from failure and Elon Musk pulled it off and the company is valued at trillion dollars. But it took a long time for that to happen I wouldn’t give up on the dream yet.

The corporate sale cycle is shorter when you are offering what lowers HR costs.

The pitch didn’t quite explain the concept thoroughly. I feel like anyone can do this. There are too many questions around her business, like, what does one get exactly and how qualified are the teachers on board. I don’t blame any of them for not investing because what would they be investing in???
