Wait, what?? I think they should call this thing a ‘side hustle’ (even side hustles make more money in America) instead of a ‘startup idea’ if sales are this horrible. Glad though that they did not put a crazy evaluation else Mark would’ve stripped em both.
If you do a lot of cooking, I think people would be more inclined to buy new pans for this. With that said, people who do cook a lot, probably have decent cookware already, and not likely to downgrade. I think licensing this to someone like JML, would be the best solution. Don’t develop your own cookware range, it’s a long and expensive journey.
I would imagine it’s difficult to make this an addon for existing pans, due to the different shapes and sizes of pans. I know 12″ is still 12″, but how deep are the pans? Can you clip it to every handle?
Agree, I think they must have already thought of this, and went with just selling a pan with the attachment. Its a good idea but not a hit product IMO.

Joe, what do you think about a strainer that you can put on any pan? wouldnt that make a lot more sales than this one coming attached to the pan?
like a portable attachment? It might be hard because pans come in so many different shapes/sizes.. if they can figure a way around that, then that would be better than what they were presenting.
It honestly looks like it barely works.. like you can see the grease moving down to the bottom of the pan and not even pour like it’s suppose to. And cleaning it looks like a nightmare.

I think their strainer feature is not a big enough feature for me to want to replace my current pans with. Plus when I don’t need to use the strainer (which is more times than I do need to use the strainer) it just adds weight and more cleaning around to it, if liquid spills on the outside of the pan under the strainer it just makes it more of a hassle to clean esp when you didn’t use the strainer… this invention is good but it needs more benefit to it.
