As a person of Caucasian descent, I have cherished memories of my early years, filled with the delightful flavors of Mexican candy. From a young age, I developed a profound appreciation for the distinct and lively taste that these sweet confections offered. Whether it was the tangy tamarind candies or the spicy chili-coated lollipops, each bite was a burst of excitement for my taste buds. The vibrant packaging and enticing aromas only heightened the appeal of these delicious treats. As I matured, my love for Mexican candy grew even stronger, and I found myself exploring the wide array of options available. From the chewy and fruity pulparindos to the mouthwatering marzipan treats, there was always something new and thrilling to sample. Mexican candy became more than just an indulgence for me. Even now, as an adult, I persistently seek out these nostalgic flavors whenever possible, allowing the taste of my childhood to transport me back to simpler times. Growing up in Los Angeles, I have had the incredible opportunity to be fully immersed in the vibrant Latin culture that surrounds me. As a white individual, this unique experience has allowed me to gain a deep appreciation for the customs, traditions, and flavors that define this diverse community. One aspect of Latin culture that has particularly captivated my taste buds is the incredible array of mouthwatering cuisine. From the moment I first indulged in the tantalizing flavors of sweet and sour candy to the fiery kick of spicy treats, I was instantly hooked. These delectable delights have not only become a personal favorite of mine but have also gained immense popularity among millennials and Gen Z individuals from all walks of life. With the Latin demographic in America experiencing rapid growth, it comes as no surprise that this cultural influence has profoundly shaped consumer tastes, starting from a young age. In particular, Hispanic children have been exposed to a wide range of flavors, textures, and aromas that have left an indelible mark on their preferences. In any Latin-influenced area in the United States, a wide range of specialized food products can be found to cater to the local community. In Los Angeles, the primary focus is on meeting the needs of the Mexican population, offering a variety of items such as candy, savory snacks like chips, and indulgent treats like flan.
You’re of a European decent not Caucasian. If you were of Caucasian decent than you’re from either Armenia Azerbaijan or Georgia which are the countries in region of Caucasus mountains they are the ethnic Caucasians decent. CaucASIAN means Asians of Caucasus mountain region. The word Caucasian has th Asian in it which applies to real Caucasians who are of west Asian descent.
You are of a European decent a Anglo Saxon decent you’re not Georgian Armenian or Azerbaijani etc there is South Caucasus is Armenia and Azerbaijan and north Caucasus is Georgia and other republics who are ethnically all west Asians which is where the meaning of Cauc-Asian. Comes from Asians of Caucasus mountain region which js located in west Asia! Hope this helps! There is always a misconception with this term used in US
Love this whole essay LMAO
I am excited to try the sauce! The bottle design is appealing to me, and as a fan of chewy textures, I am definitely interested.
I hope you get a chance to try it but it’s not a chewy texture. Her product is more of a sauce. There are versions of Chamoy that are thicker but this one is not. I love her version on mango and watermelon.
Good for her!
I greatly appreciate this channel for expanding my knowledge and providing valuable insights that have contributed significantly to my learning. In addition, Super Joe has helped me identify my target audience, which has enabled me to market my products more effectively to them. I am grateful for the wealth of valuable information that I have received through this channel.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. It is exactly why I pour myself into this channel. I genuinely want to want see others learn and grow (as well as myself!!) and it makes the 3-5 hours sitting in front of my computer on a Friday night worth it knowing that I’m helping others in the Super Community!
What is your business, I’d love to learn more about it.
@kenzabel5394 I appreciate you Kenzabel. Why do you think that?
youtube is full of bots like this one, you can clearly know it’s bot from the writing
I agree with her decision. However, I would have taken 10%, but Kevin said no lower than 12.5%. Oh well, she is doing very well on her own. Bravo to her, Olé!
Hey, Texan here. I can answer your question on where the chamoy is located in the grocery store, here in the HEBs it is located in in the Mexican candy section of the candy aisle.
I appreciate you Shadow Snake! I have been to Texas a few times, but I don’t think I’ve been in a grocery store down there. Thank you for sharing!
Mark looks so worn
We use this in Mexican candy and in fruit. For example, watermelon, pineapple, mangos, cucumber, or hot Cheetos (like tostillocos)
Your mom was in the same outfit last night
The Chilli mango goes ddummmmyyyy
Don’t be dumb she’s obviously talking about packaged chamoy flavored candy from Mexico.
I’m so glad to hear that! Happy to have you in the Super Community! You never know whose watching. I’m surprised they haven’t reached out at all. I appreciate you Sebastien!
Love the mariachi music, playing the Shark Tank theme while entering the tank.
The main reason they call it candy is because it’s very sweet and is put on fruit/chips and a bunch of other stuff and as for the store location it would probably be in sauces or just candy section
It is such a great product! I’m chicana and love love loooove chamoy. It’s central to so many mexican candies, and usually really high in sugar and sodium. Her Chamoy is transforming a beloved staple into something I can enjoy without worry, and share with family members who love chamoy but have health concerns (Diabetic, High blood pressure, etc.)
Dude, you kidding me. There are people in other communities that love Chamoy. Being on the show was a huge marketing push that did exactly what she wanted to do and you did more and just helped her promote her topic.
Dude dobtheyvsell Takis under the rock you live in?
2:15
I lived in mexico! we do in some places although where I lived was basically mexican kids going over the expats for it.dressing up is done tho
Thank you for the insight! Not surprised that expats would be still out tricker treating. I appreciate you Cesar.
She is gonna be the new Tajin! I love her products. The flavor can be incorporated in American kitchens. And not just the Mexican households
I grew up loving War Heads!
Me too!
I like how she said no to kevin and left like a boss. Thats right!!!!!
I would love to come on your show! Thank you for the recap video. It was a thrilling ride to be in front of the sharks and share this company that I love so much with America ❤
You are so welcome!! Glad you enjoyed it! Please shoot me an email at https://JoePardo.com/contact and we will get it scheduled. Congrats again!! 🙂
It’s ok her chamoy will blow up without them just like scrub daddy did
@@L0serz_bewarb lori got the scrub daddy deal and it blew up on qvc
@@L0serz_bewarbwhat do you mean scrub daddy did make a deal with them with Lori and QVC
As her company continues to grow we are gonna see her in a shark chair in the future. I fully believe it
.lol yeah maybe 2124
Historical? Didn’t know it was historical, just cultural
$6 a bottle. i love chamoy too but not enough to pay $6 a bottle. i always buy from the competition. also that mexican shark tank riff the Mariachis played deserves its own beat and instrumental to rap over.
agreed I’m hoping once her company grows maybe it’ll be lowered to $5 or $4
Ppl but $6 coffees.
You can expect to pay more for alot of products that are sugar free and carb free. I’ve tried this and my family loves it! The price wasn’t a problem for me considering I wanted something with good ingredients and sugar free.
And I bought it directly from her site for $12.
She’s in HEB, she didn’t want a deal. She wanted to be on shark tank to get exposure. But now she’s going to get her recipe copied by a Mexican food giant.
kids very much like spicy candy just not white kids lol
I took the original bottle to work and I got a few ppl going online to order some for themselves. It’s a great product
We grow up eating chamoy and chamoy amor brand has sugar free is a bigger y bottle for 3 dollars and she want on amazon 3 bottles for 39
This is a great product! American Candy is filled with food dye a chemicals and this Chamoy is all natural!
I have seen so many shark tanks and knew they wouldn’t make a deal. Here’s why, they try to avoid anything they aren’t familiar with or can understand. I think she pushed the “mexican” theme way too much to a point they looked at it as just a mexican market and then probably thought I am too white to understand and work with this product.
What l would have done different is talked about how chamoy is like ketchup to us. That we use it in our everyday life, a part of our grocery list and that people from different countries use it. That she needed a partner to help her get her product all across all grocery stores and explained to them that yes it’s a mexican sauce and they may think that there is not much of a market it and proceed to ask them have they went to a walmart? Did they know that walmart carrie’s a whole food section for hispanic foods, that is how much of a market she can expand her product. she should have put effort in explaining it as a sauce rather than candy. yes we use it on candy but I think saying it’s candy lowered her chances on a deal. Candy is not part of a grocery list, chamoy is. Needing to have chamoy in your pantry is like needing to have mayonnaise. Again, she did way to much on the mexican theme, the piñata , the mariachi… I get it she is proud of our culture, but she wasn’t selling our culture. she needed a partner, and nun of those sharks are mexican. they can like the culture and all but with all that theme even I felt they couldn’t contribute much lol She should have put more effort explaining why it would sell in stores and less how mexican and candy it is. Even joe was confused on how big the market is because of the candy aspect of it etc.
Joe lookin like ba ba booey ……..
Hahahahaha………
Yes we want all the spicy candy!!
I appreciate you Nunez!
I’ve been following her for a while now and this made me so happy.
We call it candy! Even though it’s sauce!
I knew it was overpriced.
White people eat mayonnaise
Yes we want spicy tangy candy!! You have to be part of the Hispanic culture to know how much we love chamoy and chamoy candy.
I definitely am looking forward to trying it out! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
“Do kids really want a spicy tangy thing?” Absolutely. Mexican kids start their spicy journey at like 2 years old
Funny how it’s not even spicy. It’s more savory than anything but what do these gringos know lol
@@ysl50ah yes racism but its ok tho right ?
@@WWF90904ah yes racism but its ok tho right ?
@@TerdFerguson1000 What? You’re a racist or what?
I’m not sure of any spicy American candy, only Mexican ! Real popular Sir!
That’s like a staple in Mexican culture
Kevin should have countered at 10%.. even making $150k this year, he would recoup is money in 2 years…
I appreciate you watching and commenting Princess Corina. I’ve gotten that comment alot over the years. Welcome to the Super Community! 🙂
i fuck with the way this guy reviews the video. he doesnt pause it every 10 seconds like 95% of video reviewers
Lmao shes just talking out of her ass it is not that important
I came here for Annie just to watch the episode. Houston based and loved her chamoy especially during my pregnancy! Don’t worry, people outside the Mexican community love it. (Filipino American)
I ordered some after watching this, first thing Iv bought from shark tank.
My tio leomardo
I love chamoy
Yea they have chamoy lolipops
Honestly going on the show was in itself great publicity for her/her product and I think she knew that very well. lol she comes off as very smart and confident.
Who cares, as long as its good
Donald Trump are you?
I appreciate you Ilsy. Not sure what you are pointing out?
Super glad she wasn’t desperate to take the blood sucking deal. She’s kicking ass by herself.
I love it ❤ I have all of them in my cabinet right now ❤
My brain hurts from the stupidity of her saying no to kevin’s offer. Why are you in the shark tank If you’re gonna haggle over a few percentage points? Get the fuck out of here with your Bullshit marketing scheme to get in front of Shark tank consumers. She didn’t want to deal.
Its called key man insurance…
A tiktok couple made chamoy candy as a business during the pandemic and now they’re making 6 figures. I love chamoy
This guy just gives comments filled with average white people’s comments.
I appreciate you watching and commenting Louie. This is a business education channel.
“is there a market for this…”
Lmao
Buddy you’re living under a rock.
She refers to it as candy because this is how this flavor originated from and in time, it turned to a sauce where ppl put on their fruits, drinks, etc.
We don’t count to 5, I can tell she wasn’t born or raised in Mexico, we sing “Dale, Dale,Dale , No pierdas el tino, porque si lo pierdes, pierdes el camino, ya le diste una, ya le diste dos, ya le diste tres y tu tiempo se acabó.
I appreciate you Mark. This is a business education channel.
Thank you Mark. I’m so glad you took the time to listen and understand. Welcome to the Super Community!
Most Mexican candies are spicy/tangy, so most kids, including me grow up loving that kick in our candy, and specially having a sauce to add (Chamoy) it is very versatile, and you can add it in many things. And trust me KIDS LOVE IT.
Bruh Latinos go crazy for champy it’s my fav
Bruh warheads is a thing. Dude is silly. Makes $4m in sales…be like so people want this?!?
Warheads are sour. I appreciate you watching and commenting Chad.
Pulparindos were my favorite growing up
How have you not heard of Chamoy?! It’s the ultimate Mexican topping candy and even other candy brands use chamoy. LUCAS is one of them and their candy is great but lots of sugar.
It depends on what age group of kids you’re asking about. Teens and older kids of about 9 years and older will tear these up. Especially with more and more kids becoming diabetic.
If you eat chamoy then the name or the fact that it says candy won’t confuse you.
I don’t think bro realizes the MARKET for this especially in states like Texas, California, Florida etc…
Fr, Hispanic investor would fit the product really well
As a Mexican I think Mr. Wonderful gave her a good offer. But good luck to her and hopefully it works out.
